Help Can't get kit kat on sprint.

I have been waiting for kit kat to come to my phone, checking it almost daily for updates. I seem to get a lot of updates that are around 117 gb large but none are kit kat.
I am rooted. I would like to get it without unlocking and flashing a custom kit kat because i have been out of the flashing game for a while so i feel a bit behind.

Anyone have any advice or should i just go ahead and unlock my device? Also whats the best tool for unlocking over at xda?

You haven't got it? That's weird, my lady got her kk update last week, I got mine yesterday (after receiving help to unbricked it)

Are you checking under lg software update rather than firmware update?

Weirdly enough my kk update was sitting under lg software update rather than firmware update.

Both are sprint g2's as well.

yes I have been checking through the software updater.

Weird, I guess some will get it before others, if you still want the official update, keep a check on it for the next week. I'd imagine you should have it by then.

I see that you're rooted, so did you do something to turn off the updates? That is really the only thing I can think of to help add to this.
