Help Cant get my ringtones to work

Ok, so I used audiko.net and downloaded a ringtone and I have it in my phone. It plays fine in th emusic folder but when I put it as a ringtone, it just beeps. What is goin wrong here?

How did you set it as your ringtone? And are you using handcent?

I went into my music where the ringtone was. It works fine in there. Moved it to my ringtones folder and it shows up in my ringtones but it just beeps like a normal phone.

Restarted your phone yet?
Is your sd card mounted?

Unmount your SD card and remount it, then try it.

For some reason if I download and move them, they either won't show up in the list or will beep like you're talking about.

Just restarted the phone and sure nuff, it works! Will removing the card do the same? It would be quicker.

Yup just go to menu > settings > SD card and select unmount. Wait for it to finish then select mount and you'll be good to go.
