Root can't get pass lock screen any suggestions?

i added a new kernal "netarchy-toastmod-3.4-testkernel-signed" and went thru the whole process of installing it once complete phone booted up and can't get in now. phone stuck in lock mode. can't scroll down to get in. is my phone bricked?

No your phone is not bricked. It just sounds like your phone doesn't like the kernel you flashed, it happens. I would just flash a different kernel.

I agree with wrap, your phone isn't mingling well with *that* kernel.

Do a battery pull, power up while holding volume down (to get to your bootloader), and restore a nandroid backup.
 
is there a way i can go to clockworkmod recovery and restore from an earlier date? cause i removed the kernal and still not able to get in.

Yes. Power phone off (do a battery pull if necessary), power phone back on while holding volume down (this will take you to your bootloader). You should see some options (ie: hboot, fastboot, recovery, etc...), choose "Recovery". That should take you to Clockwork Recovery and from there you can choose to restore a nandroid backup. Hope this helps.
