Help Cant get SIM contacts

When I got the Aria my old SIM card was used and i know all my contacts were saved to that card. However, the only contacts the Aria is using is facebook contacts. I've gone to the people app>menu>view, but it says there are 0 SIM contacts.

Also, when I try to save a new contact to the SIM card it says the SIM card is full

Any ideas?
