Help cant get wildfire to connect to sync program

hi peeps,

cant seem to get the phone to connec to my computer via the sync program. anyone else having this problem???

menu---settings---applications---developement---usb debugging
ensure thats ticked should fix the prob

i found that i had to turn off phone and laptop and re-boot both after initialy downloading the sync, worked straight after that no problem, would not find the phone for 2 hours of trying until that was done, read it somehwre on here
but always usb debug turned on
