Cant get Words with Friends

I cannot find WwF on the Market. I apparently need some step by step instructions for getting this game onto my HTC HERO. Anyone want to help?

Nope.....

I can't even find it in the Market Place on my phone.

I can find it online using my laptop, but when I try to download it that way, it says there is no mobile phone associated with the account.

CRAZY!! I have downloaded apps in the past. I have searched on google for an answer, but none help.

When u go to market - games- puzzles- free. What's on top? For me its words

Mine goes like this:

Market -> games -> brain & puzzle -> free items only -> by date

The first game to show up is Devil Breaking.

When I Search for "Words with friends" the first free game that that comes up is:
AppBrain App Market

I tried this, put in my email address, opened my email, clicked the link they sent me and got this message:
"The requested item could not be found."

The Zynga site doesn't seem to have it, which is weird. All they offer is MySpace, Facebook, iPhone and Yahoo games.

Of the Puzzle Games, they only mention PathWords and Word Twist.

I meant search Zynga in the Android Market, first result for me.
 
If I type in just "words" in the Search on the Market(on the phone!) it instantly comes up with "words with friends".
Make sure you are at The Market from the Market icon on the phone and not searching thru a browser from the phone.
 
Maybe it isn't available for your phone. You know anyone else with your model phone that has installed it? Sometimes apps aren't available for all phones.
 
I was having the same problem, my firmware was only at 1.5, I went through the update process to 2.1 and was then able to get words with Friends.
 
I was having trouble finding it as well, but it turned out it was just further down on the list than I would have anticipated due to the seemingly large amount of popularity surrounding this game. Needless to say, I found it, but I have a new question. I want to purchase the thing so I don't have to deal with Ads between every word play. I know you can purchase on iPhones/pods/pads but there doesn't seem to be an option on my Android. Anybody else have the same issue (assuming there's someone who actually wants to spend money on it)? Thanks.

It just came out on valentines day n the paid version will b out in a month or two. Updates will take care of some bugs but the ads will b there. What is it about the ads that bothers everybody.

Why all these and other issues with android? This stuff irks the hell outta me, some can find and download from the market, others can download but it doesn't work because of phone hardware, software, country they live in etc etc...when if ever will any of this be fixed? Most here hate Apple, but I miss Apple where everything just works. Im tired of apps ported from Apple that are buggy, Force close or lack UI interface the Apple version has or even lacking features. This fragmentation issue, to me, is far more important than most people with android let on. I have waited for wwf for awhile to come to android, I have a new samsung galaxy s, and was very dispointed in the game port to android, very buggy, it works for some and not others , and a lot cannot even find it to download, what is up with that? why are these apps not as good as the ones for Apple? smooth scrolling is non existant on android, notyhing like the iphone ipod or ipad, cant google ge this right? android is not new anymore, it needs to mature and grow up fast or it will llose me. and many others too from what i see. anyone see any hope of android matureing faster?
