Help Can't Hard Reset

Hello,

I had a Huawei y300 laying around the house as a spare in case my main phone got messed up, so the day came to use it, can't remember my pin to unlock the phone
Now when I remove the battery, press the volume up and power, it doesn't go to the menu where I can hard reset, it just ignores the combination of keys and carries on to sign in to the phone OS

Any ideas what I can do?

yeah, I'm guessing the volume up key broke

Any chance you had usb debugging turned on in developer options?

There's some argument about this, but on some, if you put in the wrong password a bunch in a row, you might get a chance to login with your Gmail password.

If it's not that, I'm out of ideas.
