im trying to install the sirius/xm app on my phne...it was emailed to my moment through gmail..i downloaded it and trying to install but everytime i try it says "not installed"...no more info is given..i checked the box in settings to allow non market applications too...any help would be appreciated..happy holidays!

Help cant install app! please help!

Is your phone rooted? Running a ROM? if so you could use ABD (from the android SDK, check out this article How to Install Non-Market .Apk Application on an Android Phone | CareAce) or place the apk file in the sys/app folder in the ROM zip and reflash the ROM.
If not, you could try Astro File Manager to attempt to install the apk from the sd-card.

So you took the APK file and put it on your SD card, then used ASTRO ?? to attempt to install it?
I thinik then your only option is to do it via that link I posted, that walks you through using the android sdk to back door the installation.
I had a simialr issue, where I rooted my phone and updated the GL drivers. the ROM I put on had 3d Gallery, but the new GL drivers didn't work with it. So I plopped on 2d gallery, no issue. Did the exact same process to a friends phone and 2d gallery won't install on his. (I just reflashed his phone with an updated rom that had 3d replaced with 2d gallery)

So you say you've had it on your phone before. Maybe check and see if there is any remnants of that program in your settings. I know I had that problem before so I went to manage applications and say the app i was trying to install and it had 0 bytes listed. So I just installed it and the app I was trying to install went on fine. Hope that helps.
