Root cant install apps?

rooted running eris_official_1.0
when i download app from market it says they downloaded but installation unsuccessfull it reads "insufficient storage available".
my sd card has free space of 6.5 gig
can someone steer me in the right direction
 
Your apps are stored in internal memory, not on the SD card. You need to delete some of your unused apps to free up space, or go to ap2sd. Easier to just delete unused apps tho.
