Can't install apps

I don't know why I seem to have this problem on every phone during certain times. I've tried clearing the storage for google play and google play services and rebooting the phone. I was trying to download something a few days ago after I did all of that. The app finally downloaded after about 30 minutes pending. I've checked my phone isn't installing a whole bunch of updates right now... So, what do I do?

I have basically given upon Google.

If this has been an ongoing issue, then perhaps it is time to broaden your horizons.

First, be sure that Auto-Update is OFF in the settings for Google Play Store.

Next, try these other excellent app stores, and see what you think.

I use them all, and dont miss Screwgle at all.
These all allow the downloading of previous versions, so you are not locked in with the newest version- like you are with Google.
(I will post links to these from a different device in just a moment.)

UpToDown
(number two appstore on Earth)

ApkPure
(another large appstore)

ApkMirror
(ditto)

F-Droid
(an appstore that deals solely with FOSS (Free Open Source Software) apps)
