Cant install Roms

I have tried flashing CM10 and few other jellybean roms from over on XDA forums. I keep getting assert failed getprop ro.product.device status 7 (not full error message) while in recovery.

I have tried EL26 and EL29 kernels repacked with CWM and even the agat recovery that came with the root tutorial on this forum but keep getting this message.

Please help!

Just ODINed back to clean stock and then tryed the process again and it still gives me the same error message:

Installing update...
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "epic4gtouch" || getprop("ro.build.product...........etc.....blah blah sph-710 blah blah (status 7)
installation aborted

Very frustrating!

If you are wanting to try a JB ROM there is a one click install of GA10 out. It uses a Odin installer that is all setup and ready to go with no need to monkey around in CWM

I just saw that and I have it installed right now. Really slick. I would love to install custom roms later though. Maybe now the other roms will work that i have this on the phone.

follorw the instructions for the rom you want to install from the developers post of that ROM. I like the GA10 build.
