I have a rooted Motorola Droid. Verizon just recently started to send me a System Update. When I choose to do the system update the phone reboots and a menu comes up and says that the system updated has been aborted and it has menu to reboot the phone, and other menu options. I guess because the phone is rooted I can't do the system update, but the message is constantly coming up saying I need to do the System Update.
Does anybody know what the update does? Maybe I can just undo the rooting and allow the update to install and then root it again? I don't think I installed a custom rom, I think I just rooted the phone and that's it. It's been so long since I did it I can't remember exactly what I did. Is there a way I can tell if it has a custom rom or not? I'm enclosing a picture I took of the screen that comes up after I try to install the update, maybe that will help with the info on if the phone is just rooted or has a custom rom installed. It's says, "Android system recovery <2e>", "Patched by SirPsychoS <0.99.3b>".
What can I do? Thanks for your help and time!
