I just got my phone, and when I first turned it on, it didn't prompt me to link my Google Account (which struck me as odd because when I turned on my first Android on Verizon, it did that, so I figured that was a Verizon-only thing or that the no-prompt was a MetroPCS-only thing) and when I tried to access the Market, it wanted me to link my Google Account. I entered in my Gmail details but it keeps saying that the username/password is incorrect which is frustrating me because I know I'm not making a mistake and when I go to Google Accounts on my computer, I can sign in just fine with my Gmail.. Anyone know why this is happening? How to fix?
EDIT: This is becoming even more frustrating because my brother who got his phone also linked his Google Account (Gmail to be specific) with no problems..
EDIT2: I found out why. I needed to generate an application-specific password since I have 2-step verification turned on. My brother didn't and that's why it worked easily for him.
