Root cant load any roms. please help

hi everyone
ok a friend picked up a second hand wildfire s with an old cm7 rom on it. it was laggy as hell and wanted to put a new rom on it. I said Id have a look as im always flashing roms on my gs2. we found a rom that looked ok and rebooted into cwm recovery, did all the wipes and flashed the rom. the first one aborted all the time so we tried another instead and it installed buT never rebooted. It got stuck on the htc logo. Ive now tried 4 roms and the same thing happens. I said ok lets just re flash your back up for now and guess what.....he didnt have one. Im now stuck in recovery unable to flash any rom. can someone please help me with this as i now have no idea what to do.

When you boot into bootloader do you see Marvel or MarvelC? They are different versions of the same device (GSM vs. CDMA) and their ROMs aren't interchangeable.

im in the bootloader now but cant see either. where abouts should i be looking. im on the white screen with the scatboarding androids.
 
im not sure if it has anything to do with it but in cwm recovery, partitions menu its looks like the ext sd andusb storage are not mounted (it reads mount). could this be the problem. It wont allow me to mount them.

Ive also just tried using flasy to flasy the systemimg, bootimg and recoveryimg from the pg76image(1) as recomended on another site but it seems to do nothing. the images load on the phone (you can see the loading bar) but no change.

Are you using stock recovery? That's what it sounds like. I would HIGHLY recommend installing a 3rd party recovery apk (CW or TWRP). Then try installing the rom you want. As for marvelc: GSM is for other than the US mostly, CDMA is standard for US carriers. And be aware that if it is MetroPCS, you are limited in rom choices.
