Help Can't log in on my Gmail account

When adding an account for the google market app I tried to log in to my extisting gmail account and it says the username and password doesn't match, but I know I'm typing the correct password. My gmail is set to not have secondary verification so it must be something else.

Edit: Just after I created this thread I can suddenly log in. How typical...
