Can't receive sms from '3' phone when roaming...

This is a weird one!

I'm with O2, so can't ask them for help as the Hero is not on their support list.

Everytime I'm in Germany and my friend tries to text me (using a Sony-Ericsson phone) vis the 3 network, she gets an error message saying that the text has failed. As a result, I can't receive any texts from her when abroad. This problem has only started since I started using the Hero.

Anybody else experienced this when roaming and being sent an sms from the 3 network?

It's possible your friend may have some sort of International bar on there phone account , If they ring up 3 hopefully they can check if an international bar is on their and disable it if it is.....

Can you receive other peoples SMS or just not theirs? If you can't receive any sms while abroad you may want to check with your service provider too to see if any bar is on your account

Definitely only happened when I got the Hero. Friend can text other people when they are roaming; it's just me she can't!
