Help Can't receive texts automatically

Ever since I went ahead and used the online update tool, I will admit that I have had less random reboots (so far). However, now I have a new problem...I CAN'T AUTOMATICALLY RECEIVE TEXTS!!!

I am able to send out texts just fine, but the only way I can get a text is to place a call. As soon as the call goes through, a bunch of backed-up texts come through. So now, I call my voice-mail just to check my texts!!!

Can anybody help me with this issue?!?!

Now it appears that I'm not receiving phone calls either. However, I can still call out.

Have you tried updating your prl?give it a try if not.update then do a battery pull restart see if that helped.

EDIT:I had a problem with lock up and fezzes after the update,after some research on the net i found out if you reinstall the update your problems will be resolved it seems that at times there is a blip in the transfer,it worked for my phone it now runs great with no problems what so ever then again i never had any till this minor setback.i mention this because this was also addressed as a fix for your problem of frozen sms.
