Help Cant remove notifications. (resolved)

I checked out two nice dirty pictures and now they're still in my notification bar... I press clear and they were removed for a minute and then appears again... Does anyone know how I can permanently remove them from notification bar????
 
I'll answer first, and caution we don't really need a feeding frenzy on this stuff.

The only thing that never removes from my notification bar is the voicemail icon (and I'm ok with that, I'm always stacking voicemails until I can get to them).

Must be something in the nature of the source of those pictures.

Do you have Astro File Manager installed? All web downloads should go to /sdcard/downloads - do you have multiples of the pictures there? That's assuming you used the web (I've got a bunch of NASA photos on mine, I know photos clear from the notifications bar.)

Or - did you install some app to get them? If so, remove it and then power restart your phone (you may even need a battery pull) - p0rn apps are notorious malware vectors, never, never use them.

You didn't respond to my earlier post and say if you've used an app or browser, if you've checked for duplicated downloads and you're not clear if you've followed the advice already offered.

Not sure what other advice you'd like under the those circumstances.

Thanks Mon for your advice...I did erase the two files on sdcard and i still had the notifications..What i jus did was I used an app called 1 Tap Clearner Pro and so far so good , no notifications popping up

Edit : I just rebooted the phone and the notifcations are still there...This is driving me bananas

It wasnt from any app.. Im sure that it was from a thread at XDA where people were sharing 3D photos...I was surfing through a few pages and clicking some links that they were using and downloding them from dropbox..I think I need to be more carefull of what I do ..I really dont want to hard reset the phone . I just finally like the way its looking. I think I just mite have to do that :mad:

I tried that and few other things like settings/apps/clearing data on a few apps that i thought might be hanging in.....had no luck... So i had to do a hard reset..Really sucked, but phones is just bout to normal..thanxs for useful info
