Root Can't root my phone issue. HELP :(

Hi guys. So I am trying to root my Samsung Galaxy Vibrant and no matter how many different ways I try to root my phone the app Superuser still does not work (its just opens blank). So now I am trying to delete this app yet online it says I need to root my phone to remove it. So does anybody have any ideas?

well you wont have anything displayed there if you dont have any root apps. i mean. download some app that needs root permission open it and after that youll get a pop-up that it need superuser permission and then click allow. and after that you can go to superuser app, open it and there should be the apps name and a grren colored circle which means everything is ok ;P
