Help cant safely remove from laptop

has anyone had any probs removing your phone safely after plugging in?

ive tried ejecting going through the safely remove hardware tool but it just desnt reposnd and i end up just pulling the plug out

always think im going to damage it but dont have much choice

Assuming that you have Windows on the laptop, click on Start, My Computer. Right click on the icon for the phone, click eject.

I have always thought that Windows xp and above always safely removes devices when you unplug them, I have never had a problem with corrupted data or devices that I have pulled the plug on.

I pull the plug all the time with USB sticks and phones, external HDD's

yes ive tried that aswell and theres no eject option thats why im a bit stumped

I think it's the mtp mode, if you turn on usb debugging on your phone you'll get the eject button.

As long as you don't pull it out while its reading /writing you will be fine.
