Can't screenshot

I can't screenshot on my inspire 4g. I do the power button and home button thing and it either locks the screen or the shortcuts thing comes up.

I would like to screen shot.

Any help is appreciated.

I also can't screenshot. I have an original Inspire 4g that is like 4 years old and I love, love, love, it!!! It's still going strong. Only thing is the screenshots. I know that it can do it because In my camera gallery I have a list that says screenshots and there is one screenshot that I don't even know how I took. Regardless, the power button and home button DO NOT work. It brings up my shut down menu. Please help

I just went to the app store and typed in "no root screenshot" and got one that way!!
