Help Can't see phone on Windows 7 64bit

Can ANYONE tell me how to get to see my epic on windows 7 64? I have been trying and waiting for months and nothing is helping this problem. Can't use tether and can't access my phone storage. I had to use an old xp comp to root, tried the girlfriends unrooted epic and my laptop doesnt see it either. Thanks in advance

did you reboot your computer? Did you have any other samsung drivers on it? I had some from my Moment and removed them on my XP machine. I have the Moment drivers on my Vista laptop.

Yes, I've read there are some problems with Win7 and people going to great lengths to use an XP machine instead. I haven't even tried to hook it up to my vista laptop but I have used wireless tether to my phone from it. :D
 
I think I read somewhere (on these forums maybe) that Sprint or Samsung will replace phones that have this problem.

Wish I could remember for sure where I read it at :(
 
i found out that my phone only can be recognized when i used the usb ports from the back of my computer. When i tried using the the port hub from the front of my computer, it wouldn't work. Used the drivers from samsung's website. Works fine.

Try using the usb ports from the back of your computer.
