Help Can't see secure ages when tethered

So im moving and don't have internet access in my appartment anymore. I have tethered my rooted Droid 1 to my desktop via Easy Tether app. It seems as though i cant access secure websites such as email, banking ect.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

The tether apps i've seen don't allow you to download secure sites until you buy the paid version of the app.
