Help Can't see Settings > About Phone > Software Update

Greetings, I searched the forums and couldn't find the answer! I have a Galaxy SII with Virgin Mobile (Canada) and for some reason I have lost the Softare Update menu after a factory reset.
Here are some infos: cell locked, not rooted, runs stock android 2.3.3
I now have the phone bone stock, didn't reinstall any app and disactivate any service/app...and I have Samsung Account registered and setup in Accounts Sync and I still can't see the Software Update option in Settings...About phone.

Any help would be appreciated!

try to do a battery pull with the phone on. maybe another factory reset suxs i know to do again. i have had that on custom roms where there was no update
but not on stock.
