Root cant send or receive mms

Newbie
please help me. i have just installed virusrom gingersense rev. the newest version. i love it but i cant seem to send or receive pics. i dont know why as i havent had this problem with any rom before. please help me
 
Maybe the pictures are too big? I know I have had trouble in the past with various roms receiving pictures. Try sending a tiny picture (small resolution small file size), and see if that works.

Also, maybe check to see if it was either the radios or maybe a bad flash.

i'm hoping i wont have to re-flash everything. but no its not the size of the picture. the pic that was being sent to me was actually a text mms. i still couldnt receive it

Hmm...

Well, the only thing I can think of (and it's probably not the best way) would be to nandroid the current setup. Then reflash. If that reflash fixed it, then check out this thread by akaza, and it has the ins and outs of getting data from the nandroid copy. Then you could piece together the working flash and the data from current backup.

also.... you could probably use Titanium to backup all the stuff, use something like SMS backup to back up those, and maybe even astro to back up the .apk files (just in case, though you would lose the data attached to those files).

I don't know... hopefully someone else has a better idea.
 
I'm unable to send/receive MMS when my WiFi is active and connected. Try disabling your WiFi and see if that helps.

yea i been did that one. i dont know why that causes a problem. but i ended up just wiping and reinstalling everything. it works seamlessly now. thanks everyone for your help
