Help cant send text while on phone call?

so my last phone was the palm pre and I could send text messages while I was on the phone

now with this epic I can send them and they say sent but they dont get received until I hang up the phone call I am on

whats the problem here, why did this work on my pre buy not on the more advanced phone?

the only reason that would|should happen is if ur sending a text that is 3 msgs total & becomes a MMS msg instead of a regular txt; otherwise there's some other issue goin on with ur phone...

I can be on a call and send 5 texts to my friend who is in the room with me but he doesent get any until I hang up the phone call I am on at the time

they are normal text messages using the normal text messaging app

Well I can't speak much on the stock app although it should be the same...i have text conversations all the time when i'm on a call with no problem so maybe its the stock but hopefully some one can chime in on that...
