Help Can't send texts?!?! WTF

So I was fine texting people today, then just around now it sends me my texts from people, yet when I try to reply back now it says fail. It does this for the majority of the people I try to text if not almost all. What happened? What do I do? I'm worried because I just got my brand new captivate like 4 days ago or so.

Hi, its because the network was overloaded. Imagine everyone sending a "Happy New Year" message at the same time (at midnight). You can imagine the system going into overload because of the volume of messages being sent/received. Last year, I was unable to send messages for about 30 minutes on the AT&T network in the Los Angeles area at midnight. This year, I send all my messages 15 minutes before midnight to make sure my messages went through. LOL. Your phone should work normally for the SMS now. It happened to others.

All my myriad of text messages sent via Google Voice around midnight flowed smooth as butter.

Depends on your signal, too. The AT&T signal in my home is dicey at best. I frequently have to go stand in the stairwell going upstairs to send texts
