Help Can't sync contact Phone 2 Gmail ?

I can't create a contact on the phone (yes, a GMAIL contact on the phone) and have it sync with Gmail. It won't show up in Gmail contacts when I search from my browser on my computer.

And I have tried to check/uncheck the sync contacts box under Accounts and Sync.

Anyone else having this problem?

I entered several contacts in the "phone account" instead of the "google account" too. You can test to see if this applies to your situation by slecting the "google group" in the contact list and see if the person that won't sync is missing there as well.

I'm new to Android, but the easiest fix I found was to pull up the contact, hit menu, then send a v-card to my gmail email account. Once it bounced back to the phone, I then imported the v-card and everything was fixed.
