Help Can't synchronize htc legend with pc

Dear all, I have tried to synchronize my htc legend to pc...
My computer use Win7 professional 32 bit.. I have install, uninstall htc sync which i downloade from htc.com but can't connected to pc.. I also change another USB port on pc, but nothing changed...
The result is always disconected or suggestion to install htc sync on my pc..
I have try on another pc but the result is the same :(
I use HTC Sync 2.0.33 anyway...
Is there anyone can help me? Plisss i need my contacts from my old phone
 
Try using the version of HTC sync which was supplied on the SD memory card supplied with the phone.

I use it fine with the x64 version of windows 7, worked straigt off.

I had problems with HTC SYNC supplied with my phone. I downloaded the latest version and everything is great since then
 
Before connecting your phone to the PC, open the program on your PC, then plug your phone in, then tap the screen to select HTC Sync on the phone. That's the way I do it as I had a similar problem, and this seems to be my work around.

I am also having issues having the phone discover the sync software. My SIM did not come with a copy so I downloaded the version applicable to Canada from the HTC site (2.0.38) using the recommendations - turning av off, plugging in after, enabling usb debugging - and the order to turn on found in this thread... nothing appears to be working.

I will take any suggestions
