Help cant tether on 2.2

cant get USB tethering to work on my 2.2 spica

it just says that USB is not connected even with the cable connected

tried downloading and installing wireless tether app from market, but altho my laptop's wifi could detect and connect to the SSD, but cant surf at all

can any kind souls help? thanks in advance

USB Tethering? tried PDAnet. Here is a post written by me : How To: Use your phone internet on your desktop
Hope it helps. It works on my Spica 2.2
