Can't text a Sprint subscriber from my at&t phone

My sister has Sprint. Every one in five messages I send to her (text messages), fails. I get a message failed error and I have to resend. Sometimes it fails multiple times. Eventually it works though.

Is this a problem with my phone, her phone, or the Sprint texting system?

I'd say it's on your end. I text an iPhone user back and forth all day with no issues.

AT&T works best from wifi. I text to iPhone owners without problems.

my guess you are texting all other friends/family just fine..??
even if you sis is out of network.. the text should be help on at sprint till her phone is available.

I am leaning to the issue being your side of the equation.
I guess you have to do a few more test and noticing other clues that might help narrow down the issue.

I know someone that had a similar issue, it is most likely something to do with the provisioning of the sprint account. Sprint will need to fix it.

I had a similar problem when I upgraded my other line, its a blackberry. Couldn't send texts to ATT customers. All other carriers worked fine. the thing about it though is the problem started immediately after the upgrade. Don't know how Sprint fixed it by its fine now.

No, not necessarily. Could be specific to certain carriers.
