Root Can't trust backups - help!

for the last month or so, it seems that none of my backups in CW work. I can do a full backup and it says it completed just fine, but anytime I try to restore data from ANY backup, old or new, it'll hang up, usually while restoring dalvik cache, but sometimes other files (always the same file within each backup.) I'm not going to be able to do any modifications anymore if I lose all my data every time. system and cache restores work just fine, BTW. Any ideas?

You could download Rom Manager and flash clockwork recovery (top of the menue) to see it that helps.

Have you tried a new SD card to rule it out as the problem?

Not sure yet but just to try a couple of things, what, exactly are you doing to perform a nandroid backup and a restore?

Are you making sure to restore only Froyo roms in froyo and Gingerbread roms in GB?

I use Titanium Backup to backup my apps and data. Not system settings though.

I am using D2 clockwork bootstap recovery to make full backups (I set up Titanium as well, but although it said it did a complete backup, it didn't , but that's another story.) I have tried froyo to froyo, GB to GB and across ROMS as well, with the same hangups at the same places. I also tried DX bootstrap, same results. Maybe it's the card. I just did a format on it so we'll see next time I dare to make changes.
