Help cant update. keep getting error unavailable

Every time I try to pull the update I get a error message. It says error not available at this time try in settings when available. Anyone else having this problem or have any ideas on how to fix this. It been doing it since last night on my phone and my wife's

the server is unavailable

be patient. there are probably thousands of people not only getting the push, but also people manually checking. wait a day or 2 and try again, or keep trying until it works.

It's just a glitch, it worked for me in 1x data
 
I was having the same issue last night......read in another forum to put your phone in CDMA mode (1G) and my phone found the update instantly.
 
I switched to 1X to find the update and I found it but now its taking forever. once i start downloading can I switch to wifi

Try it, I had WiFi on while I did it but don't know if it used it
 
Hey guys,

Just joined this forum since this is my first android phone and I love this community. Just wanted to start off with my first post by saying I went to *#*#4636#*#* and switched to CDMA (1x) got the server to get the update, then switched back to CDMA+LTE Auto and downloaded using 4g. Much faster and it worked.
 
So I have tried everything suggested and still nothing is working. I called Verizon and a tech told me that the 12th is the official release where it will be pushed to everyone. Has anyone else heard this? If I don't get it I'm going in Monday.

Going in will solve nothing other than wasting your time and gas. Just wait a few days for the excitement to settle down. Unless youre having major issues *right now* what's another day or 2?? If you never get it, call HTC. Dang....
 
OK, so here we go, I'm dealing with the same issue that a lot of the people on here are. Now I got my T-bolt on July 1st or 2nd. I don't remember exactly which day it was but a couple hours after having it and finally getting it activated I got an OTA update. Now I'm guessing that was the first one that came out. Now I'm not having any problems with my phone other than battery life and that my phone gets seriously hot either when I'm using it or while it's on the charger. So about this new update.... I keep getting the error message that the update network is not available. I've been getting this since I got the phone because I'm curious and want to make sure I have the right software so I every so often I check it. So I've had this phone for awhile and STILL can't even get it to say hey your software is up to date like it would on any other phone. So can someone please help me? I've turned on wifi and tried and got nothing. I have no way to change to 1x that I know of. So a bit of help would be awesome.....like...yesterday! lol :D
 
phone will not find update. i just love it when things don't work the way they are supposed to. Dear Verizon and HTC, please don't give this phone gingerbread or any other updates to fix its issues. please drive me to a competitor.
 
For what it's worth to others, mine was one of the disappearing message phones. I'd click Check New, it'd disappear after a few seconds. Had been since the launch of this last update. Today however, bingo, there it was. So, it might just be something that will mysteriously happen for ya!
