Help Can't update my software

I'm currently rooted on my SCH-I545. I tried updating to the new software last night (bad or good idea, not sure) Anyway, upon rebooting my phone gets stuck on the "Downloading, Do not turn off target" screen, in the upper left it says "Could not do normal boot, ODIN mode" or something like that. I managed to reboot my phone, however, this error happens every time I try to update my software.

Is the only fix for this to completely wipe my phone and start over?

My phone decided to download the update anyway, but of course it can't install it because I'm rooted. Now, it's prompting me to update every few hours.

Does anyone know where the update package is saved on the phone so I can delete it?

Thanks!

EDIT--

I figured out a solution for Root users -

1. The update is saved in /cache/fota - it's named update.zip
2. Backup SDM with Titanium or Rom Toolkit and then freeze it or delete it. SDM is the program that actually notifies you about the update
