I am rooted and I'm running leedroid 2.2f as my rom.
I tried using the stock WWE RUU for 2.29.405.2, but I always get an message saying the RUU is incompatible.

I live in Taiwan, so the message is in Chinese.
I want to return it to stock for warranty purposes.

Chances are that WWE RUU isn't for your device. Where did you buy the Desire?

I bought it in a HTC store in Taiwan.

Then the WWE RUU isn't the correct ROM. You can flash it using a gold card, though
