Hopefully this is resolved for you, if not....

If you are getting no data whatsoever on the cell network (pages just don't load, apps don't respond) then it is an issue with how your phone reset with the Sprint network.

If you try to load a page on the browser and get redirected to the Virgin Mobile website every time it is what is known as the "redirect of death". Either one has to be resolved by Virgin Mobile. Some of their reps know how to resolve it, others don't. They have to re-cycle you account to get it to pick up on their system again.

Call customer service and tell them specifically (and make it very clear) that you can make call but your data REDIRECTS TO VIRGIN MOBILE. You can even tell them you have been advised that the account has to be cycled again (reset, renewed... whatever they want to call it).

If you do not get help then ask for a supervisor.

In the ~4 years I have been with VM I have had to do this twice. The first time I waited on the tech to call back after 4 days. The second I knew better and demanded a supervisor, who after explaining I was getting redirected said "Oh, ok, I can fix that" and had it resolved in minutes.

Even if resolved this should hopefully help anyone else that runs into the issue, it can be common on VM.

The best way to avoid it is to either keep your account pre-funded so the billing goes through automatically off your balance, or to keep a credit card on file and set up auto billing. Most often it happens when people go on to pay their bill manually, especially if you get cut off and pay to bring the service back online.

On Virgin WiMax phones the dialer code is ##clear# because our 4G service is through ClearWire. :p

EDIT: fixed, demand that they reset your account then go to settings and system update and hit update profile, had to go through 3 advisers for that shit....idiots all of the advisers are idiots lol
