Help Capacative Buttons Not Lighting Up

Brian Rubin

Hey y'all, how are you? I'm writing because I'm having an issue with my refurb 0003 EVO. Starting this morning, and for what reason I've no idea, the capacative buttons aren't lighting up properly anymore. They'll light up for a moment when rebooting the phone, but then won't again.

The phone is currently charged and at 100% battery, dunno if that makes a difference. I'm also rooted and running Cyanogen 6.1.2.

Any idea what I can do to fix it, or do I need to go back to Sprint for ANOTHER phone?

Thanks!

The capacitive buttons should light up/turn off based on ambient light picked up from the light sensor. If you go in a really dark place (or just cover the light sensor), are they still not turning on?

Huh...they work now, kinda weird. Either I never noticed it before or they somehow got more sensitive to light. Thanks!
