Help Capacitive function lost Ideos 8150

My phone responds to the off/on switch and lights up, but does not respond to the swipe action.

The capacitive function was faulty a few times on the return button and then failed completely.

I tried taking the battery out for a few hours and storing it, but still no capacitive function.

The battery has been fully charged in all circumstances.

Is there anything I can do to recover functionality ?

Hi Irollo, Have you tried cleaning the screen? A film can build up on the screen and you need to clean with non-solvent cleaners.
If it still doesn't respond - I would first do a Factory Reset.
