Help Capacitive Screen Grid (Closure!)

Okay, there have been many posts on this, and I have read them all. I want to talk about the grid on the HTC Incredible, and how visible it is when the screen is on. On white backgrounds, or really any light colored background, the grid looks like perfectly placed dead pixels...shiny black dots. Now, knowing this is because of the grid, we tend to accept it more, but if these were indeed dead pixels, people would be complaining and returning it to the store as a defect...so my question is, is it just my Incredible that shows these black shiny grid dots when the screen is ON, or do others have this same problem, but it just doesn't bother them as much? Also, I heard that screen protectors may help eliminate the visibility of the dots when the screen is on...is this true? Please give me some feedback guys, I'm really OCD as you can tell and this is bothering me quite a bit.

If you were to take your screen protector off, would you notice them while the screen is on? Also, what kind of screen protector do you recommend? I was thinking the Invisible Shield, but if I screw up putting it on, there goes $20 lol.

I've had a screen protector from day 1 so I'm not sure. I use the cheap static cling ones off ebay. 3 for $1. I can see the dots if I tilt the phone a certain way but I don't think I'm OCD like you :).

I asked my brother if he could see them and he said no...I see them all the time, it's like they are playing tricks on me lol...anyway, I don't think a screen protector will do much but it's work a try maybe? I may go to the local verizon store to see if there incredible has the same dots. Sorry for obsessing!

I'm on my second Dinc with no visible grid. Keep in mind I likely do not have the sharpest of eyesight lol. Both phones have AMOLED screens and the first I kept a Steinheil screen protector on (highly recommend) and the second one no screen protection yet.

If I turn my screen to catch the light I can see the dots without a problem. Doesn't bother me.

It's just that I absolutely love this phone but the grid does bother me quite a bit. Like I said earlier I will most likely go to the Verizon store to see what there incredibles look like. If it is just me being picky then I will learn to live with it, but if it is just my device, I wonder if I could get it replaced. I got it from bestbuy but didn't get the insurance an so i don't know if thy would even exchange it.
