I dropped my captavate and cracked the screen. It no longer works at all. I plan to sell it for parts. I need to reset all my data though. With some googleing I found Samsung Captivate: How to Hard Reset | Technipages
I tried doing it but it does not seem to be working. I believe it gets to the menu.
I press down volume 2 times then press the power button and last press up volume. After that I wait like 10 min before taking out the battery and starting it again.
When I start it up it still plays the notification tone I set on it. Can anyone help me do this correctly?
