Captivate gone, Epic tomorrow

Brought my Captivate back today. I really, really loved this phone. However, my business travel requires me to have a working GPS. Pick up my Epic in the morning. From what I am hearing the Epic does not share the same issues that the Vibrant / Captivate have.

In addition to a working GPS (fingers crossed), I get the following benefits with the Epic:

* front facing camera (video conferencing)
* camera flash
* free Sprint Navigation (vs. not free AT&T Navigation)
* voice dialing
* QWERTY physical keyboard
* LOWER MONTHLY BILL
* visual voicemail

cool story bro, but google nav is the best out there. you can get visual voicemail on the captivate, my bill is lower with att, not to mention better coverage, also have voice dialing but never use it.

hope having a bigger clunkier phone suits you better

Yeah. Good luck with that less than stellar network coverage Sprint provides. You should be very satisfied with that phone....when you can get coverage.

Yeah working GPS isn't all that useful on a cell phone when you need a data connection and the only coverage Sprint offers is like two little spots in my entire state. Sorry, Sprint, but I do leave the city once in a while... which is when I need cell service and GPS the most.

Remember that Google Nav and Sprint Nav require data. If you get a call while navigating, and deviate from the track, it will not be able to reroute you or load the new map due to CDMA restraints (you cannot use 3g data and be on the phone at the same time) - unless you have 4g coverage.
