Help Captivate: Items in Gallery will not delete

I am having an issue where I am attempting to delete some unwanted items in my stock Gallery. I go in like normal, and select the items that I want to delete or the album itself and the phone begins to process, but than hangs or never completes. I have to long hold the menus buttone to get it out of deleting mode.

FYI: My Captivate is stock, I do have the 2.2 Froyo update, but the phone is not Flashed or Rooted.

Thanks for any help!

I just started having the same problem last night. I was trying to delete some pictures via the Gallery and it would get stuck on deleting. Never had this problem on 2.1.

Have you been accessing the photos in another app (email, Facebook, or even through the Camera app)? Might want to check any running apps that fall in that category and restart them. Sounds like the photo files can't be deleted since it's locked by another application and just hangs.
