i agree ,, but that being said,, if google follows that attitude,, and doesnt pull the riegns in it will become strictly a hobbiest OS,, im sure that is not what google is looking for,,
so they need to take more control over things,,, cause if you think samsung is bad try joining the sony ericcson camp....
 
Early personal computers were embraced by hobbyists until they became stable enough to be adopted by more mainstream consumers. Android will solidify, and you'll be able to tell your grandchildren about the year 2010 when you were a frisky early adopter tinkering with something called the Captivate.
 
Well, I am a long time Windows Mobile user who could not wait for Windows Phone 7...I like the Captivate for its geekiness (mass storage options, side loading, copying my one files over) and its enterprise apps (Citrix, VPN, Exchange...)
 
I was an exclusive user of WnMo for many years that was pushed to Android from the Applesque WinMo7.
100's of .cabs now useless, might as well switch.
I have not been disappointed.
