Root Captivate Rooting problems ):

Ok before anyone calls me a complete noob at this.. i am ok.. but i am having some problems rooting my phone.. well using droid explorer... my phone is rooted but when i try to change the ui sounds or change the boot screen i don't have the permissions to change the files, because when i try to copy them.. they just dont show up.. i need some help i don't know if im doing something wrong or u can't change the sounds on my captivate or not... thanks for any helpp

What are you using to manipulate files - Root Explorer? If so, you need to click the r/w (Read/Write) setting at the top, if it's set to r/o that's Read Only.
