I have seen sooooooo many different post on this, threads, forums, everything. Ive been doing this for hours trying everything. Here's whatsup. I have never had a problem connecting my Captivate to my computer and being able to look through all my stuff, get pics, songs, ect. I hadnt updated in a long time and just found out i cant less i do it through kies. I plug it in and i get the stupid error, after attempting to install device stating device not installed. than it says unknown device plugged into computer. I've plugged into other outlets, unplugged all but keyboard and mouse. ive reinstalled the drivers and reinstalled kies. still device not recognized and comes up as unknown. Tried it on two different computers as well. rebooted both. Checked both for viruses and such. Main computer i use is hp pavilion elite. 8gb ddr3 memory windows 7 home premium 64-bit, quad core. Second is a windows xp old gateway. Can anyone please help me fix this?
