Captivate Specs (updated when necessary)

I think to phone is a good size, not to big and not to small. from all the reviews ive been reading they say this size is perfect, but to each his own is what it really comes down to.

Depends on if the ol' take-the-sim-out-and-install-pdanet-via-wifi trick will work with it. I'm definitely planning to try...

Let us know if works. Does that require root?

I am going to run stock Samsung for ?? days before rooting. Still need to read up more on rooting. Have SDK installed and JDE. Have chaoscentral's update.zip too.

Checking now, but as far as I can tell, there is no FM radio Receiver...hopefully one of the sites will do a breakdown and check for the chips. There certainly is no app to play radio and I'm having trouble finding one on the market place.

The AT&T specs are defintely wrong on media types. I've personally played Xvid and FLAC on this already.

I hope that ultimately we can have a radio working on this.

I suspect AT&T took it out so they can sell their radio service

Here's hoping FM can be enabled later on. If not, I guess it's another reason to keep my w580i around; listening to the radio while I mow the lawn.
