Root Captivate Wi-Fi problems

HELP!!!!
Hi , i just rooted my captivate gingerbread 2.3.5 because i wanted my phone to be faster and now the wifi doesnt work.The second i turn the wifi on it turns itself off, i tried turning my phone on and off i've also downloaded "wifi fixing " apps and nothing seems to work .

i have the same problem and i have not found any solution yet. very frustrating!!!!

I had a similar problem. I tried googling for you but could not find it. But I fixed mine by using one of those *xxx# codes where x is some number. It was a really simple process and I haven't had the issue since.
