Since there are many things left off the current firmware, why don't we start a list of what people would like included in the future versions. Not hardware upgrades, mind you, but specific features, such as:

- Support for led notifications (the lights are on the phone, but there's no software support)

- Ability to change calendar color (Exchange)

- Ability to change calendar sound notification (right now, you can't change the calendar notification, and its different from the general sound notification)

- Ability to dim brightness lower than currently possible

- USB discovery out of the box when connected to your computer. WTF?

- Get rid of the linked contacts feature.

I second the ability to change the calendar color for Exchange and the ability to dim brightness more than it currently allows.

-Also, allow me to turn off those intro videos/sounds when I power the phone on

- Individual ringtones
- Lower minimum brightness
- Lower minimum sound
- LED notifications
- Fix the extremely sensitive accelerometer
- Have had a bit of issue with the clock in stop watch mode
- Work on the lag (although Froyo should take care of that)
- Allow downloads on browser (Stupid ATT, wonder if this can be fixed with some hacking)

I downloaded through the browser just fine yesterday ... I was trying it out and downloaded a (legal) mp3 and it just saved in my /downloads/ folder. I could even move it to my Music folder and have it show up in the Music Player and everything.

The ability to turn off all audible notifications with the exception of phone and/or email. For those of us on call overnight, but don't want to be woken up to 20 updates of a drunk fb friend posting comments in all our photos :)

Yes, I nearly rolled out of bed at 3 am when my battery reached 100 pct charge and the phone let loose a vibration on my nightstand that sounded like a long, wet one.

This app is great for setting audio profiles: Setting Profiles Lite - Android app on AppBrain

I have set up a night time profile that basically turns off all notifications except my phone. Works great and has a widget that allows me to switch profiles quickly.

There is an apparently in the marketplace that can assigned tones to Google synched contacts "Contacts groupu". Credit to whoever told me about here the other day
(The application can be hard to find for some reason but its there)

This won't work for contacts synced with Google. There is no "ringtone" option.

All of my contacts are in gmail so I added a second version of a contact onto the phone. I got the ringtone option and then both versions are linked together without 2 entries. Hope this helps!

Okay, this is annoying. I have my phone set to chime and vibe when I get a text.
When I'm on the phone, the proximity sensor realises that it's up to my head, yet my messages chime and vibe right in my ear. It's pretty disruptive to a phone conversation!
