Capturing Screen shots on Fascinate

Works on my phone, a Samsung Galaxy (I think the same as Fascinate). Have to admit though, it has happened by accident occasionally. (don't know why I'd be pushing those buttons together though) And to do it on purpose, not that easy, cause either the back button activates of the power button activates, kinda a pain. When it works, its' terrific, I added bunch of photos to my contacts....

What is this Froyo version that some people are talking about? Is that the software version, if so, how do I find out what software version I have installed. I had a recent upgrade that was done automatically, but don't remember version. Thanks.

I know I'm bumping an old thread, but I don't care. After 10 months of this phone, I finally freaking figured out how to take a screenshot.

1. LONG PRESS the BACK button. There will be a slight vibration when this step is done.
2. WHILE STILL HOLDING BACK BUTTON, press the POWER button. You will get a rougher vibration and a tool tip stating you took a screen shot.

Now I want a refund from NoRootScreenshotIt

In my samsung it works by pressing and holding back key and presiing menu key.... cheers

To take a picture of your Samsung Fascinate screen without using another app:

Press and hold the "back" soft key and press the "power" button it takes a snapshot of the screen and saves it in a gallery folder callled "ScreenCapture".

I've tested this with EB01, don't know about stock or any other versions.

Press and HOLD the back key while navigating to the text message you wish to capture. Then press the Right side button (power). Screen captures will be in a floder on the SD card labeled "Screen Captures"

Firmware version 2.3.5
(Menu/settings/About Phone/Firmware Version)

I have Galaxy S running gingerbread 2.3.5 (US Cellular Mesmerize) and this does not work. The screen flickers back to the message board before a capture can occur. I have discovered a work-around. While holding the back button, take screen shot of message board, then, while still holding the back button, you can navigate to the message thread. You can now take another screen shot of the text thread.

None of these work for me. It's so frustating because I know the phone is capable of screen captures as it's done it several times accidentally, however, nothing I try will get it to work when I want it to. Any further suggestions.
