Is there a app (free or free to try preferred) that allows me to capture tiffs or raw images with the camera. Most ONLY allow viewing of tiff, not capturing. Using galaxy s5 running 2.2 via t-mobile.

RAW capture is only supported in Android 5.x (Lollipop) or greater and also requires full implementation of the Camera2 API, which I don't think is supported by the S5.
The Manual Camera Compatibility app will test your device and tell you if RAW capture is possible, saving you much trial-and-error.
